Company

Overview

Who We Are

We are a global shipping company, providing ocean transportation services to grain houses, oil majors, commodity traders, mining companies, steel mills, utility providers and industrial users. In 2019, we transported around 20 million mt of dry bulk commodities and oil products on our managed and operated vessels. We provide an integrated service through spot voyages, time charters and contracts of affreightment.

What We Do

We trade freight and manage vessels.

We manage a modern and high-quality fleet of bulk carriers and product tankers. Our managed bulk carriers are high specification vessels with electronic main engines, A60 bulkheads, CO2 fire extinguishing systems, cranes and grabs, giving them greater trading flexibility. Our managed tankers are double-hull product tankers with IMO notations and pure/phenolic epoxy coatings, designed to prevent cargo contamination and steel corrosion.

To supplement our managed fleet, we operate third-party vessels through time charters. We also offer index linked floating-rate charter contracts as an alternative to fixed-rate charter contracts to offer increased flexibility to our counter-parties.

Similarly, we offer short and long term freight solutions to our cargo clients on fixed or floating pricing to protect them from market volatility.

How We Do It

Our objective is to provide the highest level of flexibility and efficiency to our clients. We continuously renew and upgrade our fleet to maintain competitiveness. We manage vessels featuring very low fuel consumption resulting in a significantly reduced carbon footprint and greenhouse emissions.

Our broad client and cargo base enables us to reduce ballast voyages, while our operational expertise in cargo handling minimises costly mistakes and cargo claims, translating into lower shipping costs for our clients. By operating a large fleet, we can swap physical tonnage to offer a flexible service for their cargo needs.

Risk management is core to our DNA. We use freight and bunker derivatives to mitigate price risk in our cargo, tonnage and bunker commitments.

We cover all size segments and geographical areas, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
